This is a new build house designed for an individual client in Cawdor, between Inverness and Nairn.  Iain Gaul Architects were appointed to assist with the design and construction of this 3,500 sq ft house which benefits from its rural location with superb views over the adjacent farmland to the Cawdor hills.  The accommodation is based around a central two storey dining hall with light provided by rooflights. Large glazed openings provide bright accommodation and maximise the benefits of the views to the countryside.

The house is extremely well insulated utilizing the 'Scotframe Superwall' walling system and this coupled with a heat recovery system and solar panels combine to provide a very warm living environment with remarkably low running costs.
